I offer a valuable supervision service to psychotherapist and counsellor colleagues, flower remedy practitioners, and complementary therapists. I enjoy working with a transpersonal perspective. My supervisees have chosen me as a supervisor because of my background and 20 years’ experience in transpersonal psychotherapy; and because of my experience of working with the psyche/soma interface.
While the transpersonal thread runs through all my work, I am happy and willing to include gestalt, CBT techniques, as well as arts and creative techniques as the need arises. I believe that supervision should offer a space for reflection on the work, as well as space for self-reflection. I am keen to help my supervisees increase professional confidence and develop their careers.
I am vigilant about ensuring that my supervisees take care of themselves, and that they maintain awareness of what are reasonable demands on their time and professional skills, so that they are able to avoid burn-out, and to maintain an appetite and enthusiasm for the work. My approach to supervision is to provide a safe space where my supervisees can bring aspects of themselves that might feel vulnerable and perhaps sometimes insecure about their work, as well as a space to celebrate their successes. I particularly enjoys working with counselling and psychotherapy students, who want a transpersonal perspective in their work.
